This is a great town of the south to stop in for a night – and walking around at sunset with a camera to capture the buildings the French colonial period saw constructed and today are in various states of disrepair. The balconies and shutters are familiar features, although the chickens, pigs and even pet lemurs walking in and out of the downstairs entrances, are a local adaption.
