Serengeti Serendipity

For long the imagery of Africa’s wildlife has been synonymous with the landscapes of the Serengeti – it’s vast savannahs, pockets of close bush and rocky outcrops. The real thing is no disappointment in that regard, either on the wildlife or the scenic count. It really is a global treasure and something that must forever be treasured. The Tanzanians appear to be doing it well with a few THC-style lodges dotted through the vast panorama for the paying visitors to overnight in, but apart from those and the roads leading to them the animals have it to themselves. It’s the scale of the Serengeti that perhaps sets it apart from the other reserves dotted over the continent, you truly feel isolated once you get into the park proper and a privileged viewer of nature’s bounty.
