The Effects of No Booze

It has been 10 days now since we entered Iran and the effects of no booze are beginning to show. As his immunity has steadily declined, Bryan has come down with the lurg that had previously hit Joanne and Gareth, Phil has swollen wrists and is struggling to see, Brendan has been riding off by himself muttering something incoherent, and Dave’s famous sense of humour seem to disappear when we were nder house arrest.

We conclude that the sooner we can get back to a booze-full country again the sooner we will all recuperate.

Gareth has taken to drinking no alcohol beer, which is foul. He had to take to this when the excesses of the copy-fanta turned him orange. At home we would have suspected liver failour.

Enjoying reading your diary, good luck for the rest of your trip!

By the way, alcohol in Iran is very easy to find if you know anyone living there, you can get some fine vodkas all over the place and Armenian communities have large stocks of wine.
I believe I’ve drunk more alcohol in the few months Ive been in Iran compared to the many years Ive lived in the UK.
Obviously your group didnt have enough time to get involved
