Picked the bikes up from the sidewalk outside the Hyosung showroom. Still wrapped in plastic but looking fantatsic. Thanks to Bin Han and his people for making it all so easy. Then into the mayhem of Seoul traffic, fumbling for the controls at the same time as trying to avoid the grilles of trucks and buses looming up behind.
300 metres down the road and the first problem – Brendan’s out of gas. Another 200 metres and second problem – Gareth’s out as well. But then the saviour – a gas station looms in sight. Two bikes drive in, two bikes get pushed. Gas is expensive – $2.50 per litre. But it hasn’t held the Koreans back – there are more flash cars here than there were last visit.
And then onward, wrestling through the lanes to escape the mayhem and rediscover the Korean countryside.
