Potential toilet missunderstandings

They sneeze a lot on the dunny

After a time travelling you think of the people who come to NZ for a break and inadvertently cause offense.
The norm in most of the world is quite different to ours when it comes to the disposal of loo paper. Here all toilets have a waste paper basket for the toilet paper, you don’t flush it. This is to reduce the load on sewage systems and in some cases enable the human waste to be used as fertilizer. A wonderfully green option.
So if you have visitors from another culture and you find they are putting toilet paper in the bin, it is the usual practice in their country.
Actually the “greenist” way would be to adopt the style used in many Asian countries of no paper but a washing system.
A thought for the day.
